I Remember T-Shirt Weather

Despite the bad weather, our Kindi children love being outdoors. With our project focus being that of Geography and dinosaurs, we thought we would try and become familiar with all of our immediate environment. Understanding that there are lots of places to play and hide, the children are now exploring all areas of the school grounds in preparation for our big dinosaur hunt! We understand that rain is a necessary part of any school week as it helps our plants to grow as well as helping us get extremely mucky which in turn, lets our adults know we have had a very interesting day.

Year 2 - Our Favourite Forest School Club

Year 2 had a wonderful first Forest School session. We decided to take care of the birds due to the cold weather and lack of food for them to eat. We used ice-cream cones, oranges, lard and seed to create bird feeders. We then enjoyed a hot chocolate around the fire circle.

It was the Dinosaurs

With the Christmas festivities behind us, we now find ourselves in a bitterly cold January half term. Just because Santa may have retired for the year does not mean we stop in Kindi! Moving at 100mph as usual, the children and their teachers are enjoying our new focus book, What the dinosaurs did last night. Very much like the huge hit Toy Story, the book tells us the story of what our toy dinosaurs get up to when we are not around. As incredibly mischievous toys they make huge messes wherever they go, resulting in the dog getting blamed amongst other innocent bystanders. The book provides many different learning opportunities and avenues for us to explore as a class, so we are all very exci

Busy Time in Beech!

Every morning in Beech we work very hard as soon as school starts! We love to practice our learning from either English or Maths in order to gain confidence and further develop our skills.

Oh no it isn't!!! Panto Fun!!!

The children had a wonderful time watching the Panto on Friday. It was a fabulous show which all the children thoroughly enjoyed. They were very good at 'booing' when required and joined in with all the songs that they knew. They particularly enjoyed watching Mrs Webb and Mrs Tynsley take part in a 'dance off' where they joined the actors on stage and did some super dance moves.
