At Blackmoor Park Day Nursery, we have a comprehensive set of policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of every child in our care. These policies underpin our daily practice and reflect our commitment to providing a high-quality, consistent, and secure environment for children and families.

 

Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. Our safeguarding and child protection policies ensure that all staff are fully trained to recognise and respond to any concerns, and that children are always cared for in a safe and supportive setting.

 

We also have clear policies relating to health and safety, behaviour, inclusion, and equal opportunities. These help us to create an environment where every child feels valued, respected, and able to thrive, regardless of their background or individual needs.

 

Our behaviour policy is closely linked to our golden rules of Ready, Respectful and Safe, supporting children to develop positive attitudes and relationships from an early age.

 

In addition, our policies around teaching and learning, observation, and assessment ensure that each child’s development is carefully supported and monitored, enabling us to provide tailored experiences that help every child reach their full potential.

 

All of our policies are regularly reviewed and updated in line with current guidance and best practice. Copies are available to parents and carers can be downloaded. We encourage families to work in partnership with us to support their child’s learning and development.
