At Blackmoor Park Infant School an Kindergarten, we recognise that transitions - whether starting in Reception, moving up to a new year group, or preparing for the next stage of education - are important milestones in a child's early learning journey. We place great importance on ensuring that every child feels secure, welcomed, and ready for the next step.

Our transition arrangements are carefully planned to help children settle happily and confidently. This includes opportunities to visit the school or new classroom, meet their new teachers, and spend time getting to know their new environment. We also work closely with families and other settings to share important information and provide any additional support a child may need.

By building strong relationships and creating a nurturing, familiar atmosphere, we aim to make every transition a positive and reassuring experience for both children and their families.
