School Improvement Priorities 2025-26
At Blackmoor Park Infants, we are committed to continuous improvement, ensuring every child receives the highest standard of education and the support they need to flourish. Our School Development Road Map for 2025–26 outlines six key priorities that will guide our progress throughout the year:
Strengthening Leadership and Management
We are developing the skills of our senior leaders to lead the school with clarity, consistency, and ambition. By fostering a culture of shared responsibility and high expectations, we are creating an environment where all children can thrive.
Improving Behaviour and Attitudes
We are promoting a positive and respectful school culture, where regular attendance and punctuality are central. Every day in school matters, and we are working with families to reduce persistent absence and ensure that every child is fully engaged in learning.
Enhancing Personal Development
We are supporting children’s emotional well-being and social development, while embedding core British values such as democracy, individual liberty, the rule of law, and mutual respect. Our aim is to help children become well-rounded, responsible, and informed members of the community.
Enhancing Early Years Provision
Our Early Years curriculum is designed to be inclusive, engaging, and well-resourced, enabling all children to achieve or exceed the expected standards. We are paying particular attention to vulnerable groups and ensuring smooth transitions, so that every child is school-ready by the time they start Reception.
Raising the Quality of Education
We are focused on securing strong outcomes in reading, writing, and mathematics. Through high-quality teaching, timely intervention, and a broad, balanced curriculum, we are determined to ensure all children meet or exceed national expectations and reach their full potential.
Strengthening Parental Engagement
We recognise the vital role that parents and carers play in children’s education. By developing strong partnerships between home and school, we aim to enhance every child’s learning journey and support their development both in and out of the classroom.
