We highlight the importance of mathematics through various initiatives, including the weekly 'Maths Champion' award. This award recognises pupils who demonstrate outstanding mathematical skills, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards learning maths.

Winners are celebrated for their achievements, helping to foster a love for mathematics across the school. We follow a Mastery approach to teaching maths, ensuring that mathematical skills are taught daily and that all children work together on the same lesson content, promoting a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

We value the importance of English through various initiatives, including the weekly 'Writer of the Week' award. This award recognises pupils who demonstrate exceptional writing skills, creativity, and a positive attitude towards developing their literacy.

Winners are celebrated for their achievements, inspiring a love for writing across the school. The school encourages a rich and engaging writing curriculum, ensuring that pupils develop strong communication skills and confidence in expressing their ideas through writing.

We promote positive behaviour and school values through the weekly 'Rooted in Respect' award. This award recognises pupils who consistently demonstrate an awareness of the school rules—Ready, Respectful, and Safe.

Winners are celebrated for their kindness, responsibility, and positive attitude, helping to create a respectful and supportive school environment. Through this initiative, children develop a strong understanding of the importance of respect, being ready for learning, and making safe choices in their daily school life.

Winners are celebrated for their dedication, helping to promote a strong attendance culture across the school. We believe consistent attendance is key to success, as it ensures children fully engage with the curriculum and make the most of every learning opportunity.

We celebrate exceptional effort and achievement through the Headteacher’s Award, personally chosen by Mr Naylor. This special recognition is awarded for impressive pieces of work that are brought to his attention, regardless of subject or when they were completed.

Whether it’s a creative project, a thoughtful piece of writing, or an outstanding example of learning, pupils are acknowledged for going above and beyond, helping to foster a culture of excellence and pride across the school.
