Blackmoor Park Infant School
and Kindergarten
Part of The Three Saints Academy Trust
Mr Naylor
Headteacher
I have been proud to serve as Headteacher at Blackmoor Park Infant School since April 2025, having previously worked as the Co-Headteacher and Director of Early Years for The Three Saints Academy Trust. I have spent over 12 years teaching across Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1, and my passion has always been about ‘getting it right’ in the early years and giving children the very best start in life.
I am fully committed to our mission of Learning and Achieving Together, and I believe this is at the heart of everything we do as a school community. Building strong relationships, working in partnership with families, and supporting every child to succeed underpins every decision that is made.
I believe the early stages of learning are vital in building confidence, curiosity and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. It is a real joy to be part of a school community where children feel happy, supported and inspired each and every day.
Outside of school, I love travelling and have been lucky enough to visit lots of different places around the world - I am always excited to discover more. My favourite children's story is 'The Day the Crayons Quit' by Drew Daywalt, which I love for its humour, creativity and celebration of individuality.
It is a real privilege to lead Blackmoor Park Infants and be part of the West Derby community.

Miss Wilkins
Assistant Headteacher
I have been at member of staff at Blackmoor Park Infant School since September 2003, working with three different Headteachers and numerous teachers and support staff over the years. I have seen many changes over my time here including a rebuild of part of the building. The warmth of the community and ethos of the school 'Learning and Achieving Together', has always played an important part in everything we do.
I feel extremely honoured to have had the privilege to have been at this school for 23 years and worked with so many fantastic families.
Outside of school, I spend most of my time involved with sport. I have my Level 2 FA coaching badge in football which enables me to coach a girl's football team as part of a large girls and women's club in Liverpool with whom I still play for although, now it is walking football that I play. I also attend the gym daily and I am a big Leeds United fan. I also love holidays, both Summer and Winter ones as I am able to both ski and snowboard.
My favourite children's author is Julia Donaldson and my favourite book written by her is ‘The Scarecrow’s wedding’. I am also an avid reader myself and currently just finished reading ‘The Impossible Fortune’ by Richard Osman.
I love being a part of the team at Blackmoor Park Infants and long may it continue!

Supporting early reading skills and phonics is a real passion of mine.
Outside of the classroom, I am a proud mum of two, and family time is incredibly important to me. I love going on long walks, especially when we’re all wrapped up warm, enjoying the fresh air together. I also enjoy getting lost in a good book and spending quality time playing games with my family - Uno Extreme is our absolute favourite and always brings lots of laughter and fun.

Mrs Rattigan

I feel incredibly lucky to teach in my favourite year group — Reception! It is such an exciting stage, where children begin their school journey, make new friends (sometimes even friends for life), and discover a love of learning.
I am passionate about early years education; there truly is nowhere else I would rather be. Every day, I have the privilege of seeing the world through the eyes of four- and five-year-olds—a perspective that is full of wonder, curiosity, and magic.
At home, I live with Mr Rattigan, our two girls, two dogs, and our two rabbits—so life is always busy in the Rattigan household! We love spending time together, whether that’s enjoying days out, having picnics in the park, or riding the funfair attractions (the waltzers are my favourite!).
My favourite book is: That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown.

Supporting children to be the very best version of themselves is something that I am extremely proud of.
One thing I am most proud of is my family. I am blessed with the most magnificent family, three incredible children and two grandchildren, but the family continues to grow. My happiest moments, and most of my spare time, is spent with them making memories.
