Blackmoor Park Day Nursery
Blackmoor Park Day Nursery is located on the site of Blackmoor Park Infant School and operates from within the West Derby Children’s Centre building. This close connection with the school provides a familiar and supportive environment for children and families, helping to create a smooth transition as children grow and develop.
Our nursery provides high-quality early years care and education for children aged 0 to 3 years. The provision is thoughtfully organised into two dedicated spaces: a nurturing baby room for our youngest children, and a stimulating toddler room where children can explore, play, and build their independence.
As children progress through the nursery, they may move on to the school’s Nursery class, subject to availability of places. This transition allows children to continue their early learning journey within a consistent and supportive setting.
Our Curriculum and Ambition
At Blackmoor Park Day Nursery, our curriculum is designed to give every child the very best start in life. We provide a rich, engaging, and carefully planned learning environment that supports children’s development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We are ambitious for every child in our care and are committed to helping them reach their full potential. Through play-based learning, meaningful interactions, and nurturing relationships, we support children to develop confidence, curiosity, communication skills, and a love of learning.
Children in the Day Nursery are supported to understand and follow our golden rules: Ready, Respectful and Safe. These values underpin everything we do, helping children to develop positive behaviours, build strong relationships, and feel secure in their environment.
We also strive to ensure that all children are school ready by the time they leave our Nursery and progress into Reception. We focus on developing the key skills, independence, and resilience children need to make a successful transition into their next stage of education. At Blackmoor Park Day Nursery, we pride ourselves on creating a safe, caring, and inspiring space where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
