Read, Read, Read!

Comic Strip Chestnut!
Today Chestnut have been exploring how they feel about the move to the Junior school in September. We read a story about a boy called Jake. He was worried about his first day in his new school but after an amazing day he couldn't wait to go back. We talked about all the exciting things we will do in the our new school.

Reception love their pets!
This week we have been focusing on a mini topic about 'Pets' as some children have had new pet dogs. We discussed animals that make suitable pets, how to care for different pets and pets we might like to own. We have also been doubling and halving numbers. It has been another busy, fun filled week!

Designing Dangerous Dinosaurs
Whilst reading our book 'Harry and his dinosaurs go to school', here in Kindi we've been thinking about different questions we could ask our new teachers and children that have already experienced what it is like in Reception. We have read that Harry took his dinosaurs with him and helped him get comfortbale in his new classroom, so we thought what dinosaurs we would take.
