The children thoroughly enjoyed bringing their books and teddies into school. They shared their stories with each other, read them to their teddies and wrote a book review based on the book they brought from home.
This week has been really exciting in reception. Hazel and Rowan classes have enjoyed taking part in the 'learn to ride' sessions. All the children who took part tried really hard. Lou Henderson from 'Sustrans Liverpool School Streets Neighbourhood' showed the children many skills needed whilst learning to cycle. Oak class are excited to have their turn next week!
The rain poured, the wind whistled and the wet suits went on. Blackmoor Kindi aren't scared of any weather when there is a bear to be caught. Legend has it that somewhere on the school grounds, a bear terrorizes the children that attend this humble school and produces all sorts of chaos throughout the day. We have been learning about 'Shrove Tuesday' and Lent. We discussed what Christians do during lent and why pancakes are eaten on the day before Lent starts. We looked at the four different countries in the UK and Pancake traditions that take place in each country.
