The Queen's Platinum Jubilee!
We have had lots of fun celebrating this special occasion. The children were very excited when we had a special visit from two Shetland Ponies who were called Vinny and Tommy. We all had lots of questions to ask their owners and we could also stroke the animals if we wanted to. During the morning we enjoyed making our own royal crowns and investigating the Queen's history. We also talked about life in the 1950s when the coronation took place. At lunch time together as a whole school we watched a re-enactment of the crowning of Queen Elizabeth! After the coronation, we shared a special lunch outdoors.
We hope you all have a fantastic weeks holiday and enjoy your own family celebration!
We will see you all on Monday 6th June.
Thank you,
The Reception team
