Let’s get back to learning - Reception!

This week we enter Week 3 in our Home Learning pack and we are already halfway through this half term!
As well as our Maths and Phonics sessions, we will start our new topic all about 'The Naughty Bus'. You can watch a video of Mrs Tinsley reading the book here and there is also a link to watch another version of the story on YouTube.
There are some activities in your pack linked to the story.
We also begin a new set of activities for our maths sessions this week called 'Alive in Five!'. You will be thinking a lot about numbers 0-5 and there are lots of practical, fun activities to support you with your counting, adding and taking away.

You should have received an email last week about a website called 'Topmarks'. A really useful game to support your child's learning later in the week, when they start to look at making 5 in different ways is a game called 'Ways to Make'.
Another way to work on your counting this week is to be a weather monitor. Can you keep a record of the weather each day and then add up at the end of the week how many cloudy days, rainy days, sunny days or (fingers crossed) snowy days we had? Mrs Tinsley has an example of a weather chart in the video below.
You have also been set some '2dos' about the weather on your Purple Mash so don't forget to get busy on there and send us some more of your fantastic work.
