Oak Class on Safari!
On Tuesday Oak class visited Knowsley Safari park. We went on a Safari drive and saw different types of deer, white rhino, zebras, lions, a tiger, baboons and a bison. We also saw a baby deer being rescued from deep mud by the park rangers. After the safari drive we went on a safari walk and saw sea lions meerkats, giraffes, bush dogs and another tiger. We then watched the sea lion show and thought that the sea lions were very clever.
Then it was our turn to have our lesson in the special outdoor classroom. The lesson was all about animal classification and the park ranger was very impressed with how much we already knew. We also gave him our information book that we had made all about the animals at Knowsley Safari Park. He thought it was excellent!
Next we went on another walk and spent some time in the play area. We then returned to school and enjoyed an ice lolly before we went home. It was a very hot day but it was a great day that we really enjoyed.
