2020 Liverpool Year of Reading #LiverpoolReads

Today six Year 2 children, Mrs Ware and Mrs Hitchmough had the pleasure of attending the launch of Liverpool's 2020 Year of Reading. Schools, organisations and authors attended the launch of a year of Reading celebrations.

Many motivational and inspirational speakers were present at the launch including; Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson, Tim Quinn, former writer, artist and editor at DC Thomson and Marvel, now of Mighty Quinn Management, Tony Lloyd, chief executive of the ADHD Foundation, Hayley Butler, head of marketing and communications at the Reading Agency and our very own Jude Lennon, children’s author.

Counsellor Barbara Murray who hosted the event wants everyone in the city to discover or rediscover the joy of Reading. There are many exciting events happening at Liverpool libraries and at school.

We also had the experience of catching the bus to town and scanning our tickets on the return journey.
