Croxteth Park Fun for Year 1

July 10, 2019

Year 1 had a lovely day exploring Croxteth Park last week, and luckily the sun came out to shine for us! The children were very excited to explore the house and point out all the differences between a Victorian style house and the houses we live in now. They found it very interesting to look at how much different the servants' lives were compared to the families they worked for. We also had a very exciting hour playing in the playground - lots of the children were very brave and loved attempting to tackle the monkey bars! We had lots of fun wandering around the beautiful walled gardens and spotting all the different types of flowers. The children were thrilled to find raspberries and tomatoes growing there, as well as learning a little bit about the bee hives! It was a fantastic day rounded off with fun at the disco :).
