We have had a very busy half term.
We have been learning how to read, follow and write instructions. We made rice krispie cakes and then we wrote some instructions too. The cakes tasted delicious. Maybe you could make some at home too!
We followed instructions to make finger puppets too. It was a bit tricky to cut them out but they looked great.
We love to be creative. We have been busy creating collages and finding out about different artists. We looked at the work of Anne Ryan and we used her art as an inspiration for our own art work.
In our class we love drama. This half term we have been reading lots of traditional tales. We used lots of drama games to act out the stories and get to know the characters really well. 'Still image' helps us to think about how characters feel. Here we are showing how the little pigs felt when mother pig told them to leave home....scared, worried, shocked, excited, happy. How would you feel?
We hope you have a wonderful half term holiday. Maybe you will visit China Town in the city centre this weekend and take part in the New Year celebrations. We will see you soon with lots more exciting news.
Thank you for your continued support.
